Glucosamine and Chondroitin are both parts of key structural components found in cartilage. Chondroitin Sulfate helps to pull water into the connective tissue to help cushion joints and support joint flexibility. Glucosamine helps maintain the normal space in between joints to facilitate comfortable movement. When taken together, Glucosamine and Chondroitin work together to promote cartilage and joint health.
 
Even though glucosamine is naturally produced in the body, levels of glucosamine may decline with age. In our Kirkland Signature brand, glucosamine comes from the exoskeletons of two crustacean shellfish — crab and shrimp, and the chondroitin is derived from bovine sources. The easiest way to get adequate amounts of these two nutrients is through supplementation.
